Problem or Passion?

Hi. My name is Alarie, and my family says I have a problem. I call it having fun. I love holidays! I love decorating! I love cooking!

I also don't believe we have to wait for Christmas, Easter or Thanksgiving to celebrate. There are hundreds, thousands, millions of reasons to celebrate throughout the year. Any day or occasion can be made special with a little thought and effort. It doesn't have to be elaborate. You just need the intention of welcoming joy into your life, family and home.

I also love thrifting and estate sale shopping! My happy place is looking through vintage items that used to bring others joy and then giving them a new, loving home. Sometimes, that home is mine (where they often get incorporated into our celebrations). But, I also enjoy finding them new homes with others who are going to most appreciate them.

I've created Happy Tidings to bring all of these passions together. I've created this space to celebrate celebrations and the added joy that vintage items can bring to them. Not only will I use this space to highlight my own collection, but also to connect with other vintage lovers and help them add to their cherished collections.

I hope this site will bring just a little more joy to someone's day.
